This photograph was taken during the Coco River Expedition by Lt. Harold C. Roberts. The back of the photograph has a comment written in pencil: "Out of the river onto the trail again. Almost at Camp Geyer" Camp Geyer was presumably the name they gave the camp they set up on the banks of the Coco River during the expedition, which was led by Capt. Pete Geyer. Native guides pictures on horses.
